Paradoxes - Jesus as Man and God

His Transportation

As God: Psalms 104:3: Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind

As Man: Mark 11:7: And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

His Possessions

As God: Psalms 24:1: The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

As Man: Matthew 8:20: And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

His Love

As God: John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

As Man: John15:9: As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. John 15:13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

He made everything there is out of nothing, yet He had to borrow a boat from which to preach. He created every drop of water that exists in the world, yet He cried “I thirst” as He was dying for you and me on the cross. He was the author of creation and made every tree, but He hung on a cross that was borrowed. He created every rock, but He was buried in a borrowed tomb.

He richly dwelt in the realms of Heaven, yet He made Himself poor and came to earth to save us so that we who believe on Him will enjoy His riches!
